So a Few Lives Were Lost

Keeping Trump from getting reelected was worth it.

Somehow, the fact that Hydroxychloroquine is a good treatment for Covid has leaked out, after having been successfully walled away from the public stage for almost a year.

I suppose it really doesn’t matter at this stage of the game. The reason this information had to be hidden away was to prevent Trump from getting any positive PR during the pandemic. The end goal was always to prevent Trump from getting reelected — and it worked.

There is no longer any good reason to stifle the news. Although several vaccines are now out, there are still active Covid cases being treated and vaccines are only preventatives, not treatment. So bring out the Hydroxychloroquine and let’s save some lives.

Yes, I know. Some of the yahoos on the extreme Right will complain that many lives (possibly thousands) were needlessly lost because of the ban on any information concerning Hydroxychloroquine.

Well, they are wrong. And it’s not just because Right wingers are always wrong. Oh, they’re not wrong in that many lives were lost. No one disputes that now. They are wrong in thinking that the loss of life was needless.

They have no concept of just how utterly evil Trump is or how devastating his reelection would have been for the whole country. For those of use who base our entire lives on tolerance and compassion, we have to realize that the loss of a few lives, while tragic, was ultimately a small price to pay.

We have to keep sight of the good that was accomplished.
